Auto ISO and Auto Gain

The EOS C70 features Auto ISO/Gain, for smooth transitions, automatically adjusting the sensitivity when moving from dark to bright areas, and vice versa. Set the threshold by selecting the ISO limit, and the camera takes care of the rest: it’s one less thing to worry about when filming, enabling you to focus on capturing the moment.

Vertical Shooting

In addition to the tripod mounting holes on the bottom of the camera, another mounting hole on the handgrip makes it easy for prolonged shooting of vertical content - whether mounted to a tripod or a gimbal.

This vertical shooting option provides flexibility when shooting for mobile smart devices, or digital signage. Simply select the orientation you wish to shoot within the menu - or assign a custom function button for even quicker access (rotation metadata is only supported in MP4 recording).

Support for in-body Electronic IS

The EOS C70 is the first Cinema EOS System camera to support a cooperative image stabilisation system with RF mount lenses. This system allows for the Camera and lens to work in unison for the best result. When combining an RF lens with the electronic IS found in the EOS C70, optimal image stabilization is achieved. Anti-vibration performance has also been improved compared to conventional EF lenses + Electronic IS.

RF Lens

When mounting an RF lens directly to the camera, the lens and body work in unison for optimum performance.

EF Lens

When mounting an EF lens via the EF-EOS R Adapter, the lens and body stabilise independently.

Anamorphic lens support

EOS C70 supports anamorphic lenses by de-squeezing the image on both the LCD screen and the HDMI output. The camera supports using 1.3x and 2x squeeze anamorphic lenses.
