CeBIT, Germany - At CeBIT 2003, Canon Europe will exhibit a number of its next-generation imaging products and technical solutions developed to meet the needs of both business and consumer users, reinforcing its
position as a leader in printing and imaging technology.
In the past twelve months, Canon has ramped up its commitment to Research & Development in the digital imaging arena, resulting in the companys advancement to number two in the world for number of patents registered. The latest innovative
technologies from Canons Business Solutions and Consumer Imaging divisions will be displayed on the Canon stand located in Hall 1, Stand 5b2.

Canon Business Solutions
Canon Business Solutions (CBS) will unveil the latest enhancements to its IT solutions for the office and professional print environments at CeBIT 2003. In particular, Canons role as an IT innovator will be strengthened with the preview
of a revolutionary technology platform designed to deliver bespoke applications for a diverse range of office needs.
CBS will also affirm its position as a leader in the provision of business colour communications solutions at the show where it will reveal new additions to its product line, and outline its belief that colour communications over networks is an
increasingly important issue for IT managers.
Canon Consumer Imaging
At this years show Canon displays and introduces a number of exciting new products including a range of powerful new digital camera offerings, Bubble Jet printers and SmartBase multifunctional devices.
For multifunction devices Canon introduces the new top-of-the-line SmartBase MP700 Photo series of Digital PhotoAll-in-Ones photo machineswith photo-quality, professional performance and innovative, stylish design.
The most notable newcomer is the remarkable new Digital EOS 10D SLR camera with 6 Megapixels, high specifications and new magnesium alloy body aimed at the prosumer market and available at a breakthrough price point.
In the design range the sexy new Digital IXUS 400 is the smallest 4 Megapixel, 3x zoom compact in Canon's line-up, while the powerful new PowerShot S50, with 5 Megapixels, will lead the S series range.
The new line up of Bubble Jet printers is also on show, featuring innovative new micronozzles for increased accuracy and amazing photo-quality printing capabilities. This year also see the introduction of theBubble Jet i70, Canons stylish new portable
printer, which is 40% smaller than competitors.
Announced at Photokina 2002, Canon is now launching the CANON iMAGE GATEWAY, an online photography and imaging portal where Canon digital camera users can create, share and enjoy photographs online and personalise their cameras with downloadable software
including images, texts and sounds.
Canon Europe will also be celebrating its 25-year relationship with football and discussing its exciting new role asOfficial Partner of the UEFA European Football Championship in Portugal UEFA EURO 2004". Canon will provide UEFA with a range of products
such as digital still cameras, printers, copiers and fax machines. The UEFA partnership strongly supports Canon Europes You Can philosophy - the realisation of personal creative ambitions and potential through the use of digital technology which was
unveiled at CeBIT 2002.
