New direct-to-DVD camcorders benefit from Canon HD technology

Amstelveen, The Netherlands, 06 January, 2007: Canon today expands its range of direct-to-DVD camcorders, widening consumer choice with three new entry level models. The widescreen-ready Canon DVD Camcorder DC230, DC220 and DC210 benefit from a powerful 35x optical zoom lens and DIGIC DV II,1 Canon’s most powerful video image processor originally designed for High Definition (HD) recording. A range of user-friendly features includes a Quick Start button and an intuitive menu system, easily navigated using a Joystick controller. All three camcorders offer additional digital stills functionality, recording to disc or, with the DC230 and DC220, memory card. The DC230 benefits from a Megapixel CCD.
